3. Data Collected and Methods of Collection
Fondazione Carnevale di Viareggio collects and/or receives information about you, including your IP address and cookies generated while browsing the website www.viareggio.ilcarnevale.com.
These data are used by the Data Controller for the management of the website and to gather aggregated information. Your data may be shared primarily with third parties and/or recipients whose activities are necessary for carrying out the purposes outlined above. Any disclosure of your data that does not serve these purposes will be subject to your consent. Your data will not, under any circumstances, be disseminated or disclosed to unspecified parties.
4. What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a small piece of text (letters and/or numbers) sent by websites to the devices of users who visit them, with the purpose of storing and transmitting information. Cookies are sent from a web server (the computer on which the visited website is running) to the user’s browser (such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) and stored on the user’s device; they are then sent back to the website on subsequent visits.
Some operations could not be carried out without the use of cookies, which are therefore technically necessary in certain cases. In other cases, the website uses cookies to facilitate and improve navigation for the user or to allow the user to access services specifically requested. Cookies may remain on the system for extended periods and may also contain a unique identification code. This enables websites using them to track the user’s navigation within the site for statistical or advertising purposes, that is, to create a user profile based on the pages visited and to show and/or send targeted advertisements.
5. Cookies Used by This Website and Their Purposes
This website uses the following types of cookies:
-
Technical cookies, used solely to enable the transmission of an electronic communication, to ensure the correct display of the website, and to allow navigation within it. These cookies are necessary for the use of the website; blocking them will prevent it from functioning correctly.
-
Functionality cookies, used to facilitate navigation and the services provided to the user according to a series of criteria selected by the user. If blocked, it would not be possible to retain the choices made by users during navigation.
-
Analytics cookies, used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregated form, on the number of users and how they visit the site. These are treated as technical cookies if the service is anonymised. If blocked, they prevent the Data Controller from obtaining aggregated information.
6. Social Buttons
The website of Fondazione Carnevale di Viareggio, www.viareggio.ilcarnevale.com, contains special “buttons,” referred to as “social buttons/widgets,” which display icons of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube). These buttons allow users browsing the site to interact directly with the respective social networks with a single click.
In such cases, the social network collects data relating to the user’s visit. The Data Controller does not share any browsing information or user data collected through its website with the social networks accessed via the social buttons/widgets.
The collection and use of information by the social networks are governed by their respective privacy policies, which users are encouraged to consult:
